Sabri started Television Airtime Services Sdn Bhd since its incorporation and he is one of the two major shareholders. He has been actively involved in the development of private television in Malaysia since the inception of TV3 in 1983.
Before starting his own company, Sabri worked for several companies and industries including banking and finance, automobile, billboards and production, trading and sales. Besides being a specialist in programme acquisition at TV3, he was also actively involved in the management of MetroVision in 1997.
Currently he oversees the overall management of airtime sales for RTM TV1, TV2 and 27 radio channels. He is also very much involved in the production of TAS’ children’s television programmes. His involvement in the convergence of television and the internet is instrumental to the recent development of interactive TV.
Sabri is well respected in the industry for his capability as an entrepreneur and his ability to lead some one hundred experienced broadcasting personnel providing a multitude of radio and television programme and sales related services.
Besides being the President of TAS, he also sits on the boards of several private companies.
Norwati holds a Master of Business Administration (Accounting) and was previously a lecturer of Univeristi Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She presently oversees the financial and operational policies of TAS and sits on the boards of several other private companies.
Prior to assuming her present position, Norwati managed wide-ranging business from trading houses to broadcasting and media companies.
Lim Lay Siah joined TAS in May 2000 as Finance Manager. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) of the Malaysian Association of Certified Public Accountants and Public Accountants of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. She has an honours degree in Accounting from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1991.
Lay Siah has approximately 10 years of professional and commercial experience and has been involved in a wide variety of assignments in various industries via audits and financial consulting for listed companies, government related companies and multi-nationals. She worked in Shamsir Jasani Grant Thorton (from 1991-1994) and TH Law & Co (from 1995-1997). Prior to joining TAS, she was with Radicare (M) Sdn. Bhd as a Financial Service Manager.
